Mission and Vision

NejMaroc's mission is to study and analyse international relations. Through its activities, NejMaroc's main objective is to contribute to the political, economic and social development of Morocco.

It also aims to improve Morocco's image abroad and to promote the issue and problem of international relations within Morocco. In short, NejMaroc aims to participate in the development of democracy, modernity and openness of the Kingdom.

Dr. Mohamed Badine El Yattioui

Dr. Mohamed Badine El Yattioui serves as President of NejMaroc and is a lecturer and researcher in Strategic Studies at the National Defense College of the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi. He earned his PhD in Political Science from Jean Moulin Lyon III University in France and has held teaching positions across three continents, including institutions in France (Lyon III), Mexico (UDLAP), and the United Arab Emirates (AUE Dubai and NDC Abu Dhabi). Dr. El Yattioui has authored over 50 academic articles and coordinated four books published in English, Spanish, and French, establishing himself as a multilingual scholar with broad international reach.

Dr. Yassine El Yattioui

Yassine El Yattioui - Secretary General and Research Associate

A political scientist specializing in international relations, Yassine El Yattioui holds a doctorate from the University of Salamanca in Spain. He currently lectures at Lumière Lyon II University and serves as an associate researcher at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in Mexico. His scholarly work includes numerous publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. Beyond academia, he contributes regular political analysis to French-language media across Europe and Africa. His expertise spans international relations, geopolitics, diplomacy, economic intelligence, and social sciences, and he has presented at conferences in Morocco, France, Spain, Serbia, Canada, Mexico, and the United Arab Emirates.  

Dr. Alphonse Zozime Tamekamta

Alphonse Zozime Tamekamta - Director of the scientific committee

Alphonse Zozime Tamekamta is a historian of international relations specializing in conflict resolution and peacebuilding. He holds a doctorate from the University of Yaoundé I and teaches at the École Normale Supérieure. As a DDR (Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration) officer trained in Bamako, Dr. Tamekamta provides expert consultation to research centers and international institutions on governance, violent extremism, and peacebuilding. He has conducted political analyses for the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie, the African Union, UN Women, and the French Ministry of the Armed Forces. With approximately 50 scientific articles and 12 books to his credit, his recent publications include definitive works on African polemology and irenology. A vocal advocate for Morocco's sovereignty over the Sahara, he regularly presents petitions to the UN Fourth Committee in New York.

Salwa Cherkaoui El Baraka

Salwa Cherkaoui El Baraka is an architect, urban planner, and Associate Researcher at NejMaroc with expertise in urban planning, territorial strategy, and circular design. Trained in Morocco, France, and the Netherlands, she is currently pursuing her doctorate at TU Delft's Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, ranked second globally in its field. She combines scientific rigor with operational experience as a senior consultant, having collaborated with French public authorities and leading international firms such as Arcadis and Egis on major urban projects in France, the Middle East, and beyond. Her work has been presented at international conferences and utilized in diplomatic contexts by the embassies of the Netherlands, France, and Morocco. She serves as an active member of circular economy networks (CBE Hub, RRECQ), bridging research, industry, and public policy to advance resilient and inclusive urban development.

Appolinaire Tonye

Appolinaire Tonye is a junior researcher at NejMaroc and doctoral candidate in education governance. His dissertation examines the internationalization policy of higher education in Morocco. With a decade of teaching experience in secondary education and active involvement in the non-profit sector, his research interests include education governance, higher education internationalization, educational inclusion, and educational leadership.

Khadija El Bourkhissi

Khadija El Bourkhissi serves as Intern and Communications Manager at NejMaroc. She holds a Master's degree in Mediterranean and African Politics from the Institute of Legal and Political Sciences at the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez, as well as a dual degree in legal and political sciences from Euromed University of Fez and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. Her academic interests center on international relations, diplomacy, and sustainable development, with particular emphasis on the intersection of politics, climate, and energy. She focuses on energy transition and the development of inclusive economies, actively contributing to projects and research that advance intercultural dialogue, international cooperation, and youth empowerment.

Luna Tayebi

Luna Tayebi is an intern in the communications department at NejMaroc and a first-year student in the social sciences program at Lumière Lyon II University in France. Her interests include politics and cultural transmission.
